Madrid -The Suburbs

I bought a Triumph Bonneville in 2011 and I adventured to look for locations for my own pictures. I drove until the suburbs and tracked the borders of the city. In one of my first rides, discovered a Chevrolet Impala left in the bushes. From the very beginning, the idea was to face empty spaces with portraits of people that crossed my way on the street. I always shot them without makeup or stylist - as natural as possible. Suddenly, riding my motorbike, I found myself in front of a ruined court wall, in an abandoned aquapark or in the middle of a pool devoured by the vegetation. Those days I understood that the natural impulse of the cities is to go backwards instead of moving forward. Same is happening with human interactions: people go away, they leave and abandon us, even after of giving part of themselves. I keep doing this:  the motorbike, the city and the subject. I am still photographing new people in between something old, because this project will be always alive.
